| At CES in early January 06 ,Intel announced their new "Digital Home" platform named Intel® Viiv™ technology ,Basically Intel® Viiv™ technology or "IVT" is Intel's new brand for consumers that repressents a great digital media experience in the home .It is made up of a suite of Intel technologies built into a platform that enable a great digital entertainment experience .The target audience at launch and for the first phase of IVT are consumers who are technology savvy .excited about new technology products , and enjoy digital media content .Intel® Viiv™ technology-based PCs are available now through ASI Corp ,in a variety of different form factors ranging from some new consumer electronic "CE" chassis to unique "mobile-on-desktop' Intel design code-named "Pebble Beach." ASI board partners will aslo produce motherboards and building block barebone units based on Intel® Viiv™ technology in the first half of 2006 ,Besides the hardware technology side of Intel® Viiv™ technology . the success of this platform is very dependent upon an exciting array of online digital home content , and Intel has entered into working relationships with a myriad of media content providers and service companies form the likes of Disney ,AOL,MTV ,DirecTV ,Yahoo ,Microsoft ,Adodb ,Tivo , Movielink , and Napster to name a few ,Besides the digital media content ,an IVT ecosystem of verified services for music , movies ,games ,and creativity apps has started to roll out ,and in a Q2 upgrade for Intel® Viiv™ technology .more verified devices in which to enjoy this content will become availble . |
