The Intel® Solid-State Drive (SSD) 520 Series, launching on February 6th, offers exceptional performance over the 6Gb SATA interface to outperform traditional hard disk drives by an even greater margin. With random read performance up to 50,000 input/output operations per second (IOPS) and sequential read performance of up to 550 megabytes per second (MB/s), your PC will blaze through the most demanding applications and will handle intense multi-tasking needs. Couple that read performance with random writes up to 60,000 IOPS and sequential writes of 520MB/s to unleash your applications' potential.
Target markets include: enthusiasts, gamers, developers, video editing, SMB IT, data center, etc. Customers should transition from the 510 Series, as it will be announced EOL approximately four weeks after the 520 Series launch. In addition, many 320 Series customers will choose to transition to the 520 Series due to the improved performance and the SATA3 (6Gb/s) interface.
