A short time ago, Intel® introduced a family of processors code named Conroe that was based on their then new Core microarchitecture which delivered dramatic improvements in performance as well as energy efficiency.

Two years later, following their tock cadence Intel is yet again pushing the performance envelop to new heights with the introduction of the Core i7 processor. based on the Nehalem microarchitecture.

To support the platform transition, ASI has created this Core i7 resource web page designed to help outline the technical improvements, and product sourcing requirements that accompany the changes resulting from a new processor, new CPU socket, new chipset, new motherboard, and new memory architecture.
