Intel X25-M Solid State Drive – Better By Design
Solid State Drives are catching the attention of solution providers through out the computer industry primarily due to the dramatic gains in performance, lower power consumption, longer MDF, and higher shock ratings all of which make these drives ideal for many computer usage models such as notebooks and high IOPS servers. As this technology segment has continued to grow, with the successful launch of the Intel M25-X many new competitors, mainly memory companies, have begun to offer SSDs as a way to gain access to the storage market. With so many choices, it’s important to understand that not all SSDs are created equal and as such not all will yield the same performance benefits.

Intel Designed Spring Peak Notebook Systems
Designed entirely by Intel, the Spring Peak notebook includes everything from the chassis to the motherboard. This ensures that even though the different form factors are manufactured by two different companies, that the style, and validation process are the same giving channel resellers a consistent family of products to promote. It also means that as future generations of Spring Peak come to market that those products will also maintain the same consistency. In fact, the next generation or product use the same chassis with the same motherboard layout so components such as an LED screen or AC connector jack are interchangeable between the different generation of notebooks. It also means that the docking station used today will be compatible with future generations of Spring Peak notebooks.
