14th Gen Intel Core Processors

The Intel Core Processor (14th Gen) is a product refresh to the 13th Gen family code named Raptor Lake. It is based on the same hybrid core architecture which utilizes both high performance P-Cores as well as highly efficient E-Cores as the previous 13th and 12th Gen processors. The 14th Gen supports PCIe 5.0, DDR5 5600 MT/s memory, is pin compatible to the 13th Gen model using the same S1700 socket and uses the same Intel 600 as well as Intel 700 series chipsets.

All 14th Gen processors including the Core i5, Core i7, and Core i9 families have a 200MHz gain in speed for base as well as max turbo frequencies for both the E-Core and P-Cores. The exception is the Core i9-14900K/KF which has a max turbo frequency of 6GHz. Other improvements across the family include WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 supported through a discrete option that needs to be included by the motherboard manufacturers.

The most significant change to the Intel core Processor (14th Gen), aside from the naming convention, is within the Core i7 family which increases in the number of E-Cores from 8 to 12. This combined with the 8 P-Cores brings the total core count to 20 compared to 16 on the 13th Gen Core i7 family.
